Cricket
I think cricket sucks. Disproportionate hype. Absurdity in the duration. All the fuss which goes into "weather reports", "ground inspection" and all..... yuck!
It just ranks above motorsport [sport????], golf and WWF.
P.S: I have the right to change my mind

hehe...cmon buddy...why the hatred towards cricket??? The vagaries and the variables in the sport are the ones that make cricket what it is...and no, it is NOT boring! Just like every other sport, it has its positives and its negatives. Cmonnn...join the millions!!! Get behind Dravid and co. :D

It's possible the quality of the game has actually gone down.

On the other hand, it might not have. Now, is that a change of mind ? ;-)

Bala,
I think each and every sport has equal amount of advantages and disadvantages.
Even I had this feeling sometime back. But I am not sure whether it has to do something with the time alone.
For e.g. Watching India - Pak match esp.. crucial games like World Cup never lets me down. Ball by Ball..No matter how much time it might take. I enjoy the game.
May be coz of the recent FootBall Worldcup it might have made us to feel the same

I agree with you on cricket sucks part, but disagree on the motorsport part :D

It's the perspective that matters...leave the scoresheets, go behind the scenes and read biographies, documentaries and origins of the game - will make it very interesting.
There is a sociological dimension to every field :)

Bala,
To put things in perspective, if you take Tendulkar's avg in different countries abroad, it is 41@NZ, 40@Pak, 42@SAF, 40@Zim - decent figures but by no means earth-shaking.
He is easily one of the finest bat of our times but definitely in no way second to Bradman. It is only the Indians who are exposed to TV only in the 90s(especially the ODIs) who generate this hype.
No Englishmen/Aussie who has seen TV in 50s/60s would pick Sachin in his all-time World XI(I have made him a borderline case in my Indian XI ;)) These are the times when a garbage player like Afridi has a Test avg of 45 in last 5 yrs and those things must be factored into consideration.
