Bloody North Indies

All you North Indies people,
Don't fucking use the word 'ki' when you are speaking in English!
And don't give any sub-woofer effect when you say 'thought'. The woofer consonant is not necessary here
It's mail, and NOT 'male' and detail, NOT 'dittale'!
It's for the last 4 days and NOT 'since the last 4 days'! [NDTV, shame on you]
Don't say or write 'there' when you mean their!

Ivangala ellam thiruthave mudiyadha da???

  • Hi Bala, Hope you are now happily settled. It is good to see your comments "Bloody North Indies" ;-). I think you are taking it too far and I am assuming that this contempt is with considering the fact that English is the language of any Indian..

    Thanks
    Vishal

  • I think its good to wound English time to time. Its like revenge for all those centuries under British rule. I am having a hard time trying to form questions like questions instead of sentences..

  • Few years back, Goregaon meiN yEk kisAn raguthAthA

    RaguthAtha:"You are from south ?"
    msp: "yeah. why ?"
    RaguthAthA: You don't have any assent ?

    As I didn't remember disagreeing with the chap I was a bit confused...till I understood he meant 'accent'.

  • ha ha! that was hilarious..

    according to northies,

    eight = ate;
    five = pie = pi;
    pipty-pi(with sub-woofer effect) = fifty-five;
    The word 'only' has an entirely different meaning. example: "i came in at 6 'clock only" means "i came in as early as 6".

    they feel proud in calling each others 'maa chod', "behen chod".

  • Vishal bhai!!!!,
    Are you who i think you are??
    Actually, a bit 'unsettled' now :)

    The "bloody north indies" thing shouldn't be taken too seriously..like this blog.. Apologies if it conveyed anything more than some innocuous frustration-venting and my joblessness:)

    BTW, in this very blog, i've also written about the good old Southern "aarange" [orange]..

    P.S: No state will be spared!

    scudei,
    Are you talking about "You went there-a?" ?

    msp,
    LOL :)

    rk,
    The word 'only' has an entirely different meaning. example: "i came in at 6 'clock only" means "i came in as early as 6".
    You stole it mate! I was thinking of writing exactly the same!!!
    BTW, the South Indies equivalent of that would be "I came in at 6 itself"

  • Bala,
    English is "foren" to all of us Indians....What puts me off is when some one from Mumbai or Calcutta complains about how the "Madrasi" speaks "Angrezi"(and the poor Madrasi may be actually from Bengaluru...)...
    I guess if the Madrasi needs to be blasted for anything, it should be for killing Tamil and not English.

    msp, LOL...

  • Sridhar,
    I guess if the Madrasi needs to be blasted for anything, it should be for killing Tamil...
    One of my Coimbatore friends took great joy in making fun of me pronouncing pazham as... well, 'pazham'!!!
    A lot of people from around TN (west/south TN) seem to think the Thamizh 'zhA' should be pronounced as 'LA'

  • And rk,

    they feel proud in calling each others 'maa chod', "behen chod".

    To be fair to them, we Tams have our own versions of these :)

  • Gud one Bala.
    Dear NI brethren,
    All's fine until you start telling me I am indian only if I speak Hindi. What next, I am Indian only if I celebrate Deepavali?
