Champions League
Inter are out, but AC Milan and Roma advance. 3 English clubs in the quarter-finals!
I don't like any Bundesliga team, but watch out for Bayern Munich.
May the best team win, but not Bayern Munich or Chelsea

I hope Roma beats Man utd..I hate them (okay I confess to be a Gooner). Milan should beat Munich. Roma/Milan-semi..Milan should go through.
Although I hate Italian players for being eternal cheaters/divers (Zizou-Materazzi incident included). One have to admire their tactical formation and their defense-minded system.. yeah they don't wanna loose but when some of their individual players show their brilliance, there is no stopping them!
PSV is a dark-horse but the bastards bet us. So hopefully Scousers beat them and Would prefer the Scousers to win the potential semifinals..Hate both chelscum and Valencia (ever since they beat Arsenal in q4finals many years back)..Would be very interesting to see Rafael Benitez taking his team to his old sweetheart Valencia..
Overall I would stick my neck out to say, it would be Italian-English team final. Milan v/s Liverpool.
In the finals, Milan all the way, BUT only on paper..with Dida, Maldini, Nesta, Seedorf, KAKA (damn..this kid scares already)..woah!
But with team spirit and Gerrard, they might win it.
So Liverpool to win this year..and ironically, equaling AC Milan's tally of 6 UCL..Besides Milan lost to a super comeback by kop (inspired by Stevie-G) only couple of years back.
And if it happens..I will use this prediction later :D And will use the ever-cliched rant, 'I told you'
BTW read few of your old posts, they were great. the humour in your posts rocks! Entertaining stuff!

thilak,
neenga film critic Anandan mattum illa, football-leyum kalakkareenga!
Salutations unto thee :)
[Moi, the football 'touch' is rusty, i should confess]
OK, my hatred for Chelsea has inadvertently morphed into love for Man U... And C.Ronaldo has been in prime form till now..
PSV/Ajax, not as good as they used to be a few years back..
Good that there's a chance of an Italian team reaching the final..And good that Chelsea and Valencia (with the lisp!) face-off...
I think it will be tough for Roma to prevail over Man U..
Milan-Liverpool would be ultimate!
BTW,
I think among India's youth, there are only two kinds of fans - Gunners and Chelseans.. IMO, the gunners are the lesser evil (sorry!) :)

Bala,
film critic ah! Neenga vera..naan oru film addict. More than criticizing the movie, I enjoy the stuff on display. Football addiction started from 98' world cup. Come to think of it, I remember that Ricky martin's song played on TV, as much as Zizou's brilliance!
Ronaldo is a very good player provided he doesn't dive when a fly flies past him. Unfortunately when he meets Roma, Totti can challenge him in both (playing and diving) :D
But one has to admire Ronaldo, for all the abuse, mock and dissing from press and fans alike, he doesn't give a damn.
Come to think of youngsters, don't you think Kaka (or Messi) are more exciting and more talented than Ronaldo?
IMO There are only two kinds of fans:
Glory hunters - they want some trophy in the closet. Includes:
The majority of chelsea fans, half the Man utd fans, about one-third of Arsenal fans and very few Liverpool fans (the most loyal fans of all EPL teams).
Actual fans - they can't stop loving the club.
"IMO, the gunners are the lesser evil"
Why thank you! Thats the biggest complement I have got from Man utd supporter. Gooners in general have been called names like 'asshole', 'moron', 'ASSnal-lickers'..this is the best so far..Honestly, I am honored!

idhu ungalukke too much-a illa? "Diving" Dada Theiry Henry irukkumbodhu ivanga ellam onnume illa.. Henry is a contender for the Academy Awards :)
"Come to think of youngsters, don't you think Kaka (or Messi) are more exciting and more talented than Ronaldo?"
Kaka - No two opinions but somehow i get the '300' syndrome when anyone mentiones Brazilian football..
Messi - Of course, the kid is exceptional but consistency/injury....

Bala,
haha. Nice term. But actually he was called a diving-diva. Because he said something like, 'I am no women to dive when someone touches me'. It was disgraceful and in some ways, disturbing that TH for all his gentleman-traits and clean-CV (free from diving until then) just clutched his face when Puyol elbowed him in his chest. It was a true 'wtf?' moment. But later I forgot about it(a fan's curse). I support TH by saying Puyol deserves it for his fouls on TH in barca-Arsenal UCL final that year. But I was actually sad that even the good players pick up bad habits. I could easily defend him by saying it's a legal foul. But a Rivaldo-act is a Rivaldo-act. There was no need to clutch his face. But I don't think thierry ever dived in his career (unless you call that act of faking elbow-to-the-face as one). And he never 'cheated'/'faked' anything. Like his penalty against Portugal was crystal clear and all his haters called it diving while replay showed Carvalho fouling him. And Arsenal players generally don't dive as much as Man utd and Chelsea players. It's a fact, bala. But again, it's from a Gunner.
Aana Ronaldo-va yepidi paathulum, defend panna moodiyadu. I think portugese players like Figo, Rui Costa, Deco had a bad influence on kids like Ronaldo, Quaresma and even df like Ferriera and Carvalho(chelscum cunts). I heard, the Portugese academy teaches kids to dive convincingly :D One thing, the Italians would never need :))
Even Kaka and Messi dive. Thats true, Messi is injury-prone. I think that prevents him from being consistent. Kaka reminds me of Real's Laudrup that RealmadridTV play in their archive videos.
But I guess the game has both good and bad things about it. Sometimes the bad things make it worth watching :)) That I agree.
