The locality, the complex where the theater was situated in were so galeej that we decided against it. enna dhAn chennai la idha vida local-Ana theaters kut poirundhAlum, family-a poNum nA yOsikka vEndiyirukku. Singapore sucks.

  • I have heard that some areas in Sing are Galeej, but not to this extent. Hmmm. The only time I visited was when I had a twelve hour halt and went out for a few hours on a temp visa of some sort. Is that Galeej area Indian/Tamil poplasun area ?

Later, i came to know that the nearby areas were sivappu viLakku districts and a lot of Tamil laborers lived in this area.

  • RK,
Singapore overall-a paatha a very clean, a very safe city with excellent infrastructure. Granted. When i said Singapore sucks, it was a crib about not being able to watch a Tamil flick in a land where Tamil is an official language, not able to have anything vegetarian anywhere other than a joint in Little India, etc.. Biscothu matters, so to speak :)
I live in Tampines. You from S'pore?
