Rhythm And Harmony

"Raja, rajadhirajan indha raja" (Agni Natchathiram).

Raaja does not use any instrument other than percussions for rhythm
(except for the backing bass guitar ,which is again for rhythm). No keyboards, strings or wind instruments.

Only Raaja's 3 point harmony - 3 voices in 3 different pitches [easily discernable using headphones]

seriyA thAn pAttukku thalaippu vechirukkAinga

P.S: In the whole album, he does not use the tabla

    High Hopes - Rock.
PF's genre can be broadly referred to as Rock. progressive/space rock in their early days with Syd Barret, symphonic rock - Atom Heart Mother, rock opera (The Wall).

Stairway To Heaven - Rock (Hard Rock)

Rock in the late 60s/70s/early 80s by bands like Floyd, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin etc is referred to generally as classic rock.
