As i had promised...

It's now official that Aandavar's project with Saran has been dropped and i can give the update i promised to give. What happened was that Saran had given Aandavar an advance of 2Cr and made an agreement that part of his salary would be given in the form of rights (AP, Satellite, FMS etc). Saran's latest film Muni was financed by a Madurai katta panchayathu asami (to whom GV is alleged to have owed some money before he died) and since the movie bombed, Saran was feeling the heat to repay him. Ayngaran chipped in to help Saran at that time and hence Saran had to give the rights of the upcoming movie with Aandavar to them. Of course, Aandavar was kept in the dark about all this. For obvious reasons, to avoid another VV, Aandavar had to drop this project.
We shall know soon what Aandavar's next project is going to be...

Now that the film is dropped,Saran will feel the heat even more becos Ayngaran would have chipped in on the assumption that they will get the rights of Sir's film.Sad scene.
I was very keen to know the names of the other two,wonder why the elder hasan is keeping mum.

Ofcourse, I don't want to see yet another VV (running into financial problems and the release itself going for a toss)
In that angle, it is indeed a wise decision.
btw, saw ur update thru AF at the hub that KH may (0.01%) do LRMBBS -II remake. :-((
enna kodumai idhu !! Personally I feel that Nammavar is overqualified for such roles !
BTW, Hub la neenga illamaa oru invisible Vaccum create aana maari irukku :(

Since this issue is about finance more than anything, i doubt even if KB would interfere at this stage

Ahaa.. Nammavar VV ku poradinadthu, poruthadhu, yezhandhadhu ellam poradha?? And after all that crap, people actually (especially int he internet) started painting Gautham as the victim and Aandavar as the offender. Adhavadhu namma ellathayum poruthuppomaam, payment-ayum cut pannikkuvomaam, and namakku nalla peru, director thyagi per vaanguvaaraam...
As bad as i feel for Saran, what Aandavar and Anna did was VERY much right and timely.
Think of what might otherwise happen:
1) Ayngaran says "balls to AP/FMS other rights"
2) Ambiguity arises as to who the "real" producer is
3) The Madurai financier blocks the film's release till Saran pays his dues or something (Mahendra Jain vs Khaja Moideen)
4) Aandavar's payment

Just popped into say 'hello' to you :-). This is the first time I am visiting your blog. Thanks for the update on thalaivar's project with Saran. I ofcourse am happy about it but as cinefan said it shouldnt have been ended up in this way. Hub misses you a lot specially KH threads look very dull without your participation. Bala, though harsh, a person who produces a movie in which Lawrence is the hero - GRRPHHHHH - Raj Kiran resurrecting his early 90's nightmarish persona - and worse of all, getting Lawrence to direct the movie - such a person is not only tempting fate - he is simply opening up all his orifices to the mercy of fate .
