  • The into for Vanam Kizhe is phenomenal and so are the interlude violin pieces.....Stunning to say the least...

    Bala, Vikram pada title music (not the song..) is another amazing piece...even for 2007...(and Vikram was in 1986...I guess)

    It's strange in a way that ARR's fans seek approval from elsewhere. The man himself is pretty self-contained and doesn't hanker after such things. There was this interview with ARR on Aaj Tak with an idiot northie who tried to persuade him to talk in Hindi. He flatly refused, and I have seen him do that more than once. Check the youtube video for the aaj tak interview.

    But the fans - ARR pathi TIME magazine sonnaho, vella poondu venamnu sonna Jains sonnaho, Annan Mokachamee sonnaho - dei, dei ...

  • BNB, check Cool Toad for the title piece....but i think it is not the full piece...I mean as far as I remmeber the title piece leads to the song......the on CT is till the beginning of the song only.

    Yes, adhe dhaan. Plus people like Lavanya, Flavia, Octavia in the hub.
    A fanatic should accept he/she is one and make no bones about any bias he/she would have. I've seen on a few occassions that you're honest about it. There are many Lavanya's around..

    The point is this: If someone says "ARR songs madhiri enakku pidichadhu vera yedhuvum kidayadhu. matha songs la illadhadhu yedho avar songs la irukku" - that's perfectly fine. I would say the same about IR's songs. Adhavadhu, namma personal preference-ayo, musical terms-la yo sollaama, yevano kudukkara angeegaratha oru yard stick-a veikkardhu dhaan mada thanam.. avalavu dhaen. Angeegaram nalla vishayam dhaan, aana pradhana vishayam illa...

    P.S: IR group-la yum kenathu thavalainga irukkaanga nu theriyum. Sila peru IR paatta thavira vera yedhuvum kekkamalum irukkaanga

  • neenga solluradhu noothhukku nooru unmai dhaan bala.........even i'm not happy with lavanya(peru nalla irukku aana), and other newcomers.......for me, i get very happy for "foreign or north" appreciation of ARR cos, i'm happy that ARR evokes the same feel in them as well...nuthin else.......ARR-oda main achievement-ae indha "global" recogntion dhaan......adha thambattam adikka dhaan seivaanga.....but , yes, adhunaaladhaan avaru great/ enakku pudikkum-nu solluradhu --> abbathham......

    (btw, neenga dhaan crajkumar_be?? innaikku best directors' thread-la ennaya pinni pirichhittaru....hahahah)
